STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD
The International Forwarders & Customs Brokers Association of Australia (亚美am8网址入口) is delighted to announce the annual 亚美am8网址入口 Academic Achievement Award. This Award recognises excellence in academic performance by students undertaking recognised training courses in the cargo or freight forwarding industry.
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) 亚美am8网址入口 is well aware of the significant level commitment required by students in this sector to complete the higher level qualifications, particularly the Diploma of Customs Broking and the Diploma of International Freight Forwarding, both offered by 亚美am8网址入口.
To be eligible to win this Award, candidates will need to employed within the cargo and freight forwarding sector by a current Business Member of 亚美am8网址入口, presently studying a recognised course of study within this sector and be willing to attend a judging panel interview to discuss their need for further education.
REGIONAL AWARD
This Award was based upon the need to recognise a Regional Business member who had contributed significantly to the goals and objectives of 亚美am8网址入口 within the Region, and whose support has been provided in the year in question. This Award is not a long-service meritorious award but an award based upon currency of industry support, whether it be by way of education/professional development, Regional Management Committee arrangements or other criteria which the President of the Region, in conjunction with the Committee, would see as appropriate.
While the Awards are usually made at the National Conference, there will be times when a representative of the nominated business member may not be able to attend and in this circumstance, the Award should be presented within the Region after the Award details have been made available at the National Conference. 在这种情况下, the Award within the Region, should be made and an appropriate forum to obtain the highest level of publicity.
PRESENTATION: To be made at National Conference if appropriate or, at an appropriate Member Forum before end of Calendar year.
NATIONAL AWARD
The National Award will be determined by the Board on nominations received from Regions. This Award builds upon the Regional Award criteria and takes into account, Regional Award, and also long and meritorious service to the barrier clearance and international freight forwarding industry.
There should be a clear distinction between the Regional and National Award in terms of nominations, in that if a business member is not chosen for the National Award in the year in question, it should not be an automatic default to the Regional Award.
It is assumed that Regional Managers, in consultation with their respective President and Regional Management Committee members, will assess the eligibility of their business members accordingly.
The timelines for the receipt of both the Regional Award recommendation and the National nomination should be no later than 30 June of each year so that the Board can consider National nominations accordingly.
